I really thought that after having to organize every gijinka pokemon on da I would be absolutely sick of them forever. It has had the opposite effect. Every minute I spend organizing the *Pokedex brings new ideas and inspiration. Sometimes I get idea’s from what other people have done, but I’m mostly influenced by what other people haven’t done, and now that I know everything that has been done, I can really gauge what hasn’t been tried yet!

This is a huge step for me as an artist for three reasons:

1: this is the first time I’ve used this coloring technique!

2: this is 100% digital. No scans. No pencil. No paper. All done in photoshop with my wacom (this is huge)

3: this is 100% original. No stock or references were used for making the poses, or the background. It all come from my head o_O

I can’t even describe to you how happy I am with all of it. I didn’t think I would ever be able to sit down and draw something like this without lots of planning and sketching ahead of time. I literally sat down and started working without really knowing what I was doing or how to do it. Just about everything I did for this was being done for the first time. What an adventure! ^_^ looking back at pokedex ghost, I can’t believe how far I’ve come in just one year.

I had to sacrifice a lot of detail in order to maintain the composition, but up at the top are the links for all the characters in full detail. More descriptions there!

Time approx. 70 hours

and now it's time to get back to making pokemon for the *Pokedex gallery. 30 to go! possibly more x_x *cries*

The dark atmosphere gives it an eerie look, the perfect feeling for Halloween, and Darkrai's face, makes it look like he was up to some mischief as well, only carefully hiding it. Caturine looks unapproachable sadly, I'd like to know where he got his hat.

Mightyena... did he just break out of jail? He has a chain dangling from his foot...

Anyways, love this piece, I'd want to join them if I could! Love the new techinque that you're learning, really nice :)

^_^ thankyou so much. the darkrai is actually a she. i know it's a nit hard to tell with all the layers of clothing. mightyena has the shackle because for whatever reason i can't think of a wolf without one. either way, i'm happy you like it! ^_^ it means a lot!
